1.microblog 微博
 “微博”除了直接翻译为Weibo以外，还可用microblog来表示。microblog由前缀micro和名词blog组成：micro表示“微小的”，如microsoft(微软)；blog意为“博客，网络日志”。
   
举例：Many netizens are blog users, so many so that our time is called "the Age of Blogs".许多网民都是博客用户，以至于我们的时代被称为“博客时代”。
“博主”就是author，有时也被称为sender；博主的“粉丝”就是follower；“微博实名制”即real-name tweeting registration system。
   
2.zombie fan 僵尸粉
“僵尸粉”就是微博上的fake follower(虚假粉丝)，即花钱就可以买到“关注”、有名无实的微博粉丝。zombie指“僵尸”；fan就是“粉丝”的意思！
   
举例：Don't imagine you have more fans just because the number of your fans is bigger, some of them might be “zombie fans”.别单凭数量更多就以为自己的粉丝更多，他们当中的一些人可能是“僵尸粉”。
   
3.Weibo refutes rumors 微博辟谣
refute是动词，含义为“反驳，驳斥”；rumor作名词指“谣言”，作动词指“谣传”。

举例：It is rumored that she has committed suicide.据传闻，她已自杀身亡。
